Our vision was simple, yet ambitious. We wanted to create an organization that would not only provide each traveler with a unique experience, but also give us the opportunity to give back and strengthen our local communities.
With Tanzaniatrail, we support people in need by donating 1% of our sales to local charities. In this way, we contribute to the fight against poverty in Tanzania.
Especially the last 2 years of the pandemic have shown that we live in a fragile world, which usually hits us people in the third world harder than the western countries. Thus, the pandemic has brought many negative impacts in different areas of social life. Most people who depended on the tourism industry were laid off. In this difficult time, we at Tanzaniatrail have done our part. We use different ways to help the needy people. For example, with the help of our partners in Switzerland, we provide them with food and other necessary goods that protected them from the effects of the pandemic. Through the support of Tanzaniatrail we were able to distribute food to our porters and their families. We visited orphanages and provided them with food. We also continued to pay school fees for the children of our employees.
For us a dream came true with Tanzaniatrail. Tanzaniatrail gives us the opportunity to be independent, to provide for our families and to strengthen the community in a sustainable way.
Going forward, our work will continue to focus on building a locally run organization that generates long-term, stable revenue and works for positive change in Tanzanian communities. We strive to provide responsible and fair tourism and travel experiences to all of our clients.
